About Yogi

Yogi Johnson is a native Californian. Born in San Diego, educated at San Diego State, Oregon State, and the University of Oregon, she has made a life long career of fitness and athletics. She has excelled in sports her entire life, holding such titles as "Athlete of the Year" and numerous "MVP" awards. She has excelled in track and softball and held records at an early age.  Her new passion is Golf.

Early in her career she coached high school softball and led three separate teams to the state finals. Yogi was an assistant softball coach at San Diego State University, which accelerated her coaching career to Assistant coach at USIU and head coach at Occidental College. Yogi was recruited by Athletes in Action to conduct softball clinics in Italy. While there she was recruited by the Italian Federation of Softball, and as a result lived in Bologna, Italy for over a year while training Italian Athletes and coaching an Italian National Softball team.

Upon returning to the states, Yogi was hired by a company in Seattle as a Fitness consultant to design and implement hands-on sports specific training programs for amateur through professional athletes. With this foundation in place she began her personal training business over 15 years ago. In 1997 she opened her first gym, Jumpstart Fitness in Laguna Beach, and in 2000 opened and was co-owner of Restoration Fitness and Rehab.

Yogi has personally trained people at all levels of fitness. She has worked with Celebrities, Pro and Amateur Athletes, as well as members of the LPGA.  Her passion is to combine knowledge and experience with the individual goal of her clients while exploring the combination's of health, fitness, nutrition and spirituality. Her approach is to look at each client as an individual and provide training and lifestyle coaching that best fits their needs.

Yogi is not only a life student of health and fitness but also a certified Fitness Professional through the Cooper Institute of Dallas Texas and one of a select few to be certified as a Systematic Touch Trainer. She is currently living in Seattle, WA  and providing training in the Seattle area.
